Guideline & Parameters:
Add Our News and Press Feeds To Your Site!

Default News and Press Feeds:

We offer both a News feed and a Press release feed. The News feed covers general Internet News such as Web Hosting, Web Design and Development, Internet business, Ecommerce news, Servers, Databases and Data Storage/Warehousing, and operating system such as Unix, Linux, Windows, etc., and other news that is of general interest to our visitors. Our Press feed includes press releases we receive from companies in the Web Host Industry.

Default JavaScript Feeds:
Our default JavaScript feeds are simple. To add our default feed to your own Web site, simply copy the following script to your HTML page:

Our Default Press Release Feed:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE='JAVASCRIPT'
SRC="http://www.WebHostMagazine.com/pressfeed.asp?np=p">
</SCRIPT>

Here is an example our default Press Release Feed output:

Our Default Industry News Feed:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE='JAVASCRIPT'
SRC="http://www.WebHostMagazine.com/pressfeed.asp?np=n">
</SCRIPT>

Here is an example of our default Industry News Feed output:

Our JavaScript feeds are easy to use. You can use the default JavaScript code as shown above on your web page "as is" and the news and press listings will be displayed as shown in our examples. If you want to further customize your news and press feeds, instructions are provided below.

Customize Your News and Press Feeds
Our JavaScript code uses a series of query string parameters to display our News and Press feeds. The examples above displayed the default output. You can easily customize the output by changing the parameters in the JavaScript itself. For example, if you want to increase the number of headlines displayed to 20, set "hd=20" in the JavaScript code and you will get 20 headlines for the feed. If you want to change the font face, change the "hf" query string parameter to one of the fonts listed in our instructions below, and your feed will be displayed in that font style.

The entire parameter list is provided below, along with a table of the acceptable colors you can use in your feeds as well as font and bullet styles.

For example, to display only 3 Press Headlines in Courier font face at 12px with a brown font color, try this:

<SCRIPT LANGUAGE='JAVASCRIPT'
http://www.webhostmagazine.com/pressfeed.asp?np=p&hd=3&hf=c&hs=12&hc=br">
</SCRIPT>

The query string parameters in the above example are as follows:
  np=p:  display News Headlines (click for more info)
  hd=3:  display 3 Headlines (click for more info)
  hf=c:  display Headlines using the Courier font (see font table)
  hs=12: display Headlines using font size in pixels (click for more info)
  hc=br: display Headlines in brown (see color table)

The output will look like this:
